Day 1 — The First Decision

Scripture

Luke 9:23

Also See: Matthew 6:33

Reflection

Every day begins with a choice. Before our schedules fill up or distractions take over, we're invited to decide who will lead our lives. Jesus calls us to follow Him daily, not just when it's convenient or easy.

Following Jesus isn't about perfection. It's about choosing, one day at a time, to trust Him with whatever lies ahead.

Questions

What usually shapes the direction of my day?

How intentional am I about following Jesus each morning?

What is one choice I can make today that reflects my trust in Him?

Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank You for giving me a new day. Help me choose Your way over my own and remind me that You're with me in every moment. Amen.

Day 2 — Choosing Surrender

Scripture

Luke 9:23

Also See: Romans 12:1–2

Reflection

Surrender isn't a one-time event. It's a daily practice of trusting God more than ourselves. While we naturally want to stay in control, Jesus invites us to discover freedom by placing our lives in His hands.

Each small act of obedience helps shape our hearts to become more like Him.

Questions

Where do I find it hardest to let go of control?

What keeps me from fully trusting God?

What would surrender look like in one area of my life today?

Prayer

Breath Prayer:

As you pause during your day, let this prayer remind you to place your plans in God's hands.

Inhale: Jesus, my Shepherd

Exhale: I choose Your way

Day 3 — We Weren't Meant to Walk Alone

Scripture

Hebrews 10:24–25

Also See: Acts 2:42–47

Reflection

Following Jesus is personal, but it was never meant to be private. God designed us to encourage one another, grow together, and remind each other of His faithfulness.

Community isn't just something we attend—it's one of God's gifts to help us stay faithful.

Questions

Who encourages me in my faith?

Am I making time for genuine community?

Who could I encourage this week?

Prayer

Father, thank You for the people You've placed in my life. Help me grow through community and give me the courage to encourage someone else today. Amen.

Day 4 — Staying Focused

Scripture

Hebrews 12:1–2

Also See: Philippians 3:13–14

Reflection

Life constantly competes for our attention. Following Jesus means choosing, again and again, to keep our eyes on Him instead of getting distracted by everything around us.

God isn't asking us to be perfect. He's inviting us to keep moving toward Him.

Questions

What distractions pull my attention away from Jesus?

How can I intentionally refocus today?

What would it look like to pursue Jesus with greater consistency?

Prayer

Breath Prayer:

Use this prayer whenever your mind feels distracted or overwhelmed.

Inhale: Faithful Savior

Exhale: Keep me close

Day 5 — One Step at a Time

Scripture

John 17:20–23

Also See: Ephesians 4:15–16

Reflection

Jesus prayed that His followers would be united, growing together as one family. Every step of obedience, every act of love, and every moment of encouragement helps build the kind of community He envisioned.

You don't have to have everything figured out today. Simply take the next faithful step.

Questions

What step is Jesus inviting me to take today?

How can I help strengthen the community around me?

Who can I invite to take a step toward Jesus with me?

Prayer

God of hope, thank You for walking with me every day. Help me follow You faithfully and become someone who points others toward You. Amen.

As you go through this week, remember that every day begins with one choice.

If you're in Tallahassee, we'd love to have you join us this Sunday as we continue following Jesus together.
