If Jesus really died, the next question is whether He rose from the dead.
The resurrection is the central claim of Christianity.
If it did not happen, then Christianity falls apart. If it did happen, it changes everything.
The earliest followers of Jesus believed that He rose from the dead and appeared to them.
This is not something they were expecting. In fact, they were confused, afraid, and scattered after His death.
And yet, something changed.
These same people became convinced that Jesus was alive, and they began telling others, even when it cost them everything.
Something had to account for that shift.
The tomb was found empty shortly after Jesus was buried.
Even those who opposed Christianity did not produce a body to disprove the claim.
If the body of Jesus had been available, the movement could have been stopped immediately.
Instead, the message spread in the very place where these events happened.
That raises an important question: why was the tomb empty?
Multiple eyewitnesses claimed to see Jesus alive after His death.
These were not all the same type of people. Some were close followers, others were skeptics.
These accounts were written down early, while people were still able to question them.
They do not read like legends developed over time, but like people describing something they believed they actually experienced.
The earliest followers of Jesus did not gain power or status from this message.
Instead, many of them faced rejection, suffering, and even death.
People may suffer for something they believe is true.
But they do not willingly suffer for something they know is a lie.
That does not prove the resurrection, but it does show they were convinced.
The message of Jesus spread rapidly in the very place where He had been executed.
This was not happening far away where facts were unclear. It was happening in the same region, among people who could investigate the claims.
If the resurrection could have been easily disproven, it likely would have been.
And yet, the movement grew.
Each piece of evidence on its own may not feel conclusive.
But together, they form a picture that is difficult to ignore.
Something happened that convinced ordinary people that Jesus was alive.
At some point, each of us has to decide what we believe about that.
If it is true, then Jesus is who He claimed to be, and that has real implications for our lives.
This is not just about history. It is about what is true.
