What voice do you trust most? It’s a real question—and it shapes more than you think. Every day, different voices compete for your attention and influence. Jesus doesn’t just offer guidance—He says He is the way, the truth, and the life. This conversation helps us notice what’s shaping us and decide who we’re actually following.

Opening Prayer

God, thank You for bringing us together. Help us be honest about what influences us and open to hearing Your voice. Give us clarity and courage as we take a next step. Amen.

Conversation Starters

Option A
What’s something that tends to grab your attention quickly during the day?

Option B
When do you feel most pulled in different directions by different opinions or voices?

Scripture

John 14:6 (NIV)
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Luke 9:23 (NIV)
Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”

Jeremiah 6:16 (NIV)
This is what the Lord says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’”

Discussion Questions

What stands out to you about Jesus saying He is the way, the truth, and the life?
What do you think it means that the “way” is more than just a destination?
What voices influence your thoughts and decisions the most right now?
Have you seen a time when the wrong voice shaped your choices in a negative way?
What would it look like to trust Jesus in your everyday decisions this week?

Real Life Application

Pay attention this week to what you’re listening to most—media, people, or your own thoughts.
Choose one influence to limit and replace it with something that points you toward Jesus.
Take one practical step of surrender each day, even if it feels small.

Closing Prayer

Jesus, You are the way, the truth, and the life. Help us trust You more than the voices around us. Give us wisdom to recognize what’s shaping us and courage to follow You daily. Amen.

Next Steps

If this stirred something in you, don’t keep it to yourself.
