The Youth Ministry @ CrossWay Church
“Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts;
let them proclaim your power.” (Ps 145:4)
The CrossWay Youth Group (grades 6-12) functions as a safe place of community and belonging for students who are in the process of developing and owning a faith that is distinct from their parents. That community is a blessing to students, but as much as they need to experience belonging in our culture of anxiety and image management, community alone cannot bear the burden of faith development.
According to those who study what it takes to truly disciple youth into a lifelong walk of faith—
where their life desires, decisions, daily rhythms, and relationships are centered around their commitment to Christ and deeply rooted in worship and service in a local body of Christ--
--teens need so much more!
They need:
· Parents (like you) committed to discipling them intentionally in everyday life
· Connections with at least 5 adults within the church who are reinforcing the gospel message and biblical wisdom from home and pulpit
· Opportunities to discover their spiritual gifts and serve within the body and within their community
· Deepening relationships and faith-conversations with peers who are also learning to follow Christ
· Training in biblical knowledge (and personal bible study) to help them understand the story of God’s redemptive work in humanity through Christ and their place in that story
· Training in spiritual disciplines and opportunities to engage with God on their own
We plan CrossWay Youth Group’s events and curriculum with these goals in mind.
In order to keep our student safe, we do not publish specific event details online.
All volunteers have passed background checks.
