Kris Stowers

Lead Evangelist

I have had the honor of leading Crossway Church from its beginnings in 2004 at Shiloh Farm. I had my ministerial training from 1981 through 1985 in Tampa Florida. I was officially ordained in 1998. Watching God work at Shiloh Farm and continue growing with our move to CrossWay in 2012 has been an amazing journey. I currently am a practicing physician at Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic and the Team Physician of Florida State University for over 30 years. I am married to Alison the love of my life since high school. We are blessed with three married children who are all actively following Christ. It is a joy in our lives to spend time with our children and five grandchildren. Please come and join us at CrossWay where you will find genuine people trying to live a life of love as we pursue Christ

Alison Stowers

I was baptized into Christ in 1983. I have been married to the love of my life for 42 years and together we have three grown children and 5 grandchildren. I have a BS from the University of South Florida in accounting and have volunteered as the CrossWay accountant since it began in 2004. I enjoy helping people with their budgets and finances, as well as event planning and teaching classes for women and the children’s ministry. Outside of church, I love anything to do with flowers and my grandchildren (not in that order, unless it’s an overdue naptime). I love studying the Bible and fellowship with fellow believers.

John Kimber

Teaching Minister

I would love to talk with you about Jesus and His church. While "difficult" questions and complex issues of theology make some people uncomfortable, I find that working through them in community helps us grow in our faith. Since I was young, I have always had a desire to see people come into a personal relationship with Jesus and find their place in the Kingdom of God. I want you to know you are loved by God and loved by me, even though we may have never met. I hope you will give us a chance to meet.

I have been a member of Crossway since 2020. While serving as a teacher and member of my church's youth committee in high school, I realized my passion for church leadership. In 1997, I earned my bachelor's degree in Bible with an emphasis in Youth Ministry from Abilene Christian University. Upon graduation, I moved to Tallahassee to serve as a full-time Youth Minister for 10 years. Here in Tallahassee, my wife and I have made our home and raised two amazing boys. I have served as a deacon and a Bible class teacher, and have preached periodically until 2015. In 2015, I accepted a volunteer position as a teaching/preaching minister at a local congregation. I served there for five years until my family and I moved to Crossway. I earned my Master's in Christian Ministry in May of 2022 and use it to serve God and the local church.

I enjoy teaching, preaching, and serving the congregation in any way I can, as well as gardening, kayaking, and camping.

Jenny Kimber

Involvement Minister

If you and I met for coffee, I wouldn’t wait long to ask you, “How’s your soul?” My passion is helping others connect to God in creative and tangible ways because when we surrender our agendas—to meet Him in this moment—we give the Holy Spirit room to form Christ in us. When we create space in our calendar and in our souls to experience and enjoy the love of God, we begin to delight in His word, hunger for character transformation, grieve for hurting people, and move from apathy to action. Toward that end, I love writing prayer walks and hosting prayer station events to facilitate interaction between people and God.

My name is Jenny Kimber. I am happily married to my husband of 31 years ~ but we willingly share our full, difficult, bumpy, and beautifully redemptive love story with those who need to hear how God works faithfully with fallen people in a fallen world. We have two grown boys who both love the Lord and serve the body with their unique gifts. When asked for my faith-story, I tell people that I am a legacy Christian. I am proof that God delights in (imperfect) generational discipleship. I have been serving in the church since elementary school beside my parents and mentors. I have walked alongside and ministered to teens for 26 years, led various ministries (children's, women's, prayer, and hospitality), and directed women’s retreats. My time teaching English at FSU & TCC turned my heart toward college students who have no idea that what they're looking for is Jesus. I am certified in Spiritual Direction through Selah Center for Spiritual Formation under Jackie Halstead and Randy Harris. I am currently blessed to serve CrossWay as a full time Involvement Minister. Reach out if you have questions about faith, who we are, or if you just want to get coffee!

BethanyBethany Bryant

Children's Director

My name is Bethany Bryant, a local family portrait photographer & Children’s Ministry Director of Crossway Church. Our program serves babies through 5th grade with the teachings of Christ. Crossway has been my church home since 2016, from the moment I walked in the doors I was greeted with love & intentionality that rocked me to my core. On April 28th, 2017 my now husband & I were baptized into the body of Christ down in the Aucilla River. That day Jesus gave me a new life, opened my heart to receive the love that I had never known & share that with those around me to bring about the Kingdom.

Today I share my home with my husband, boy/girl twins that just started third grade & an entire funny farm of over 60 animals! When I’m not chasing children, I’m milking goats, drinking coffee, or writing future fantasy novels.

Matt Fantini

Campus Intern

My name is Matthew Fantini, a first-generation senior at Florida State University. I am studying Psychology and aim to enter FSU’s Mental Health Counseling program for my Master’s degree. I am the son of two Brazilian immigrants and even lived in Brazil for four years. In my free time, I love making music, playing the guitar, playing soccer, and building relationships. On November 23rd, 2019, I made Jesus the Lord of my life and became a member of Crossway Church.

As a Campus Intern, I help lead Reach Campus Ministry as we seek to reach college students with the gospel of Jesus Christ. I get to partner with God to show students that there is more to life than academics, clubs, and other aspects of college life. Through Jesus, we students can find community, identity, personal development, and freedom that can't be found anywhere else. A relationship with Jesus transforms how we interact with the professional world, with our families and with ourselves. It's a transformation that I'm excited to help students achieve!

Christopher Dorcellus

Campus Intern

My name is Christopher Dorcellus, an Integrated Marketing Communications Candidate from North Miami Beach FL. After studying Graphic Design at Florida A&M University I graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2019. I’m a proud member of the Beta Nu Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. Many may call me a sneaker enthusiast because I enjoy the history of sneakers immensely. During my downtime, I occasionally like to sing, dance, and play NBA 2K.

I made Jesus Lord of my life on August 14, 2016, and it’s honestly the best decision I’ve ever made. It has led me in my entrepreneurial endeavors to create three Christian brands that I use to share my faith. As an Intern for CrossWay, I help lead the Reach campus ministry where we’re reaching students, making disciples, and raising leaders.

What I'm most passionate about in campus ministry is doing life with the group. I love how we're able to get open and share about our highs and lows as we're on this walk together. I try to vulnerably share my struggles as well as the way that God has taken me out of certain situations in my walk. I've been a disciple for 6 years, and it has been tough, which is why I want others to know that it's ok to be human. We don't have to be perfect. Throughout scripture, we see that Jesus was drawn to deeply flawed individuals which goes to show you that the gospel is for everyone.
